Brother Knights and St Theresa Parishioners:
I am writing this message to all with the objective of squeezing more money from you all. As you by now have concluded, we did not hold my favourite and most anticipated event, Pasta Knight.
The proceeds from Pasta Knight this year were earmarked for the needs of the Parish. During these unprecedented times we do not have to be wise enough to parachute a rover onto Mars to realize that the Parish most certainly has financial needs.
Our solution:

Pastor’s Easter Message
“Lord, you have renewed the face of the earth. Your Church throughout the world sings you a new song, announcing your wonders to all. Through a virgin, you have brought forth a new birth in our world; through your miracles, a new power; through your suffering, a new patience; in your resurrection, a new hope, and in your ascension, new majesty”. These words from the Office of the Breviary (the prayer of the Church) proclaims the life of Christ: His birth, life, suffering, death, resurrection and ascension.
It is with great joy in my heart I announce to you: “Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!” This ancient greeting sums up what we celebrate this Easter Sunday, the joy of Christ risen and alive in our midst.
As we all know, this past year has been difficult to bear, in many respects. Aspects of Church life, and life in general, have been put on hold, or at least radically changed, in so many ways. There is a new “normal” that still doesn’t feel normal at all. We have all been affected in one way or another: economically, emotionally and spiritually. Some are grieving the loss of loved ones who died over this past year, some due to complications of the virus. My heartfelt sympathy to those who are suffering because of a loss of someone dear.
FAITH strengthens us, HOPE encourages us to persevere and LOVE embraces us and sustains us through bad times like these. It is a great grace to be able to gather as the People of God and celebrate this Triduum and Easter Sunday together as a parish family. It is so wonderful to welcome more and more of you back to Mass.
May God Bless you and all those you love! Stay well, and stay safe! Happy Easter!
In Christ, Fr. David
FROM THE WOMB OF MARY,
TO THE CRADLE IN BETHLEHEM,
TO THE CROSS ON CALVARY,
TO THE EMPTY TOMB,
OUR GOD REVEALS HIS LOVE FOR US!
As we continue to find ways to support each other, let us remember that the church also needs support. For those families who are able, you can mail in your collection envelopes (3597 Main Street, West St Paul, MB R4A 5A2). Post-dated cheques would be acceptable. Please see link for the Pre-Authorized Debit form. Or you may make your donations through the Archdiocese of Winnipeg APP.
Most importantly, less us continue to pray for one another and for an end to this pandemic.
PARISH PROTOCOLS AMID COVID-19
St Theresa's has instituted strong procedures to disinfect all surfaces that are commonly touched, such as on the pews where your hands rest, ALL light switches, handrails, door handles and hand sanitizer is widely available throughout the church.
All parishioners are required to wear a mask and to practice "social distancing" within the church and not to participate if feeling unwell.
RAP WITH THE APP
As requested by the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, we will begin to use the APP for Mass reservations. This replaces the RAP email we have been using. The APP allows booking one week at a time. You will receive a confirmation email after each Mass reservation. When you open the APP and select St Theresa’s Parish (West St Paul) you then select Liturgies. Select the date you wish to book and fill in the requested information. Bookings begin Monday of each week.
PLEASE NOTE: Reservations close at Noon the day before the scheduled Mass.
You can click on one of the following direct links for your device and it will save time from having to search for the App:
