  • Original Man - Who man and woman were created to be in the beginning, as found in the book of Genesis
  • Historical Man - Who we are now after the fall and in the light of the redemption

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Are you a non-Catholic adult who is interested in the Catholic faith? Are you a Catholic adult who has not yet received all three Sacraments of Initiation? Then RCIA is for you! RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a journey of conversion within the living community of faith at St. Theresa’s. Your RCIA journey will culminate in receiving the Sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

RCIA is for

  • adults who have not received the 3 Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion)
  • adults who have been baptized Catholic or in another Christian tradition and have not received Confirmation or First Communion
  • adults who have been baptized Catholic and have made their First Communion but have not been Confirmed

Adults prepare for initiation through a process of prayer, rituals, and reflection on the word of God and teachings of the Church. This program begins each fall and continues to initiation at the Easter Vigil. If you are interested in learning about the Catholic faith contact our Pastor, Father David at stheresa@mts.net to register.

Daily Meditation

The Word Among Us is a Catholic Devotional website that offers daily meditations on the daily Mass readings.

Daily Mass Readings

Whether or not you are able to attend Mass every day, you can read the Daily Mass Readings.

Daily Prayer

Descriptions of prayer are abundant throughout Christian history. "True prayer," wrote St. Augustine, "is nothing but love." Prayer should arise from the heart. "Prayer," said St. John Vianney, "is the inner bath of love into which the soul plunges itself.""Everyone of us needs half an hour of prayer each day," remarked St. Francis de Sales, "except when we are busy—then we need an hour." Definitions of prayer are important, but insufficient. There is a huge difference between knowing about prayer and praying. On this issue, the Rule of St. Benedict is clear, "If a man wants to pray, let him go and pray." The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has catholic prayers for every occasion.

Daily Rosary

Depending on the day of the week, the rosary is centred around four types of Mysteries: Joyful Mysteries (Monday and Saturday); Glorious Mysteries (Sunday and Wednesday); Sorrowful Mysteries (Tuesday and Friday); and Luminous Mysteries (Thursday). Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation invites you to join in the daily rosary.
